YBhg Dato’ Gumuri Hussain

YBhg Dato’ Gumuri, aged 61,  is the Chairman of SME Bank.  He also serves as Chairman of Rangkaian Hotel Seri Malaysia Sdn Bhd and sits on the Board of Kurnia Setia Berhad and Metrod (Malaysia) Berhad.  He is also a member of the Securities Commission.  

Dato’ Gumuri was the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Penerbangan Malaysia Berhad from 2002 to 2004.  Prior to this, he was a Senior Partner and Deputy Chairman of the Governance Board of PricewaterhouseCoopers.  He has also served as a non-executive director of Bank Industri & Teknologi Malaysia Berhad and Malaysian Airline System Berhad. 

Dato’ Gumuri is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales, and a member of the Malaysian Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Malaysian Institute of Accountants.
