From its humble beginning as a small publishing company with its flagship newspaper, the "Straits Times", the NSTP Group has grown to become a corporation of distinction, with a history as exciting as that of the nation's. In 1972 , there was a split in the Malaysian and Singaporean editorial operations following the separation of the island nation in 1965 and the flagship paper was renamed "New Straits Times".
