13 July 2005 | MEDIA PRIMA ENTERS INTO COLLABORATION AND ASSISTANCE AGREEMENT WITH NTV7

PETALING JAYA, July 13, 2005 – Media Prima Bhd, Malaysia’s leading integrated media investment company, today announced that it has entered into a Collaboration and Assistance Agreement with Natseven TV Sdn Bhd, Synchrosound Studio Sdn Bhd, Questseven Dot Com Sdn Bhd (collectively known as the Companies) and the respective companies’ shareholders to provide assistance for the Companies to undertake a corporate and debt restructuring scheme and identify areas where both groups can form strategic alliance to work together.

Natseven TV Sdn Bhd is currently the owner and operator of NTV7, Malaysia’s second free to air television network whilst Synchrosound Studios and Questseven Dot Com Sdn Bhd are the respective license holder and operator of a radio station known as WowFM.

Under the agreement, Media Prima will use its expertise to assist the debt and corporate restructuring of the service companies with the aim of strengthening the financial position and operations of NTV7 and WowFM. In addition, the proposed collaboration will allow both groups to identify areas in which Media Prima and its broadcasting subsidiaries TV3 and 8TV, and NTV7 Group may co-operate, especially to focus on growing the share of television advertising expenditure for the benefit of the industry.

Further pursuant to the agreement, Media Prima has been given the exclusive option to explore the possibility of an investment or acquisition in NTV7 and WowFM at terms to be mutually agreed by both parties.

NTV7 was launched in April 1998 and emerged as one of the more popular free-to-air networks with a strong following among urban viewers. The station currently has nine per cent of the total television viewership and approximately 30 per cent of the television advertising expenditure share.
