BANGSAR, 15 October 2014 – Media Prima Berhad (“Media Prima” or “the Group”) today announced the re-activation of Tabung Bencana NSTP – Media Prima in response to the floods in West Coast Sabah and other areas that may require similar assistance given the anticipated torrential rainy season ahead.
“The flood situation in West Coast Sabah has affected many families in Penampang. While waiting for donations, Media Prima will start distributing flood relief items this week once all the logistical arrangements have been finalised. We hope this aid will help ease the burden faced by the victims” said Datuk Ahmad A. Talib, Group Advisor Corporate Social Responsibility Media Prima.
He added that those affected in Sabah are in need of humanitarian essentials such as food items and drinking water, hygiene kits, blankets, baby food/formula, diapers and other basic necessities.
Members of the public who wish to help ease the burdens faced by flood victims in Sabah can do so by contributing to the Tabung Bencana NSTP-Media Prima. Tabung Bencana was established since October 2, 2009 to assist victims of natural disasters.
