BANGSAR, 7 November 2014 – Media Prima Berhad (“Media Prima” or “the Group”), Malaysia’s leading integrated media group today announced that it has implemented an employees a Mutual Separation Scheme (“MSS”) as part of the Group’s rationalisation and consolidation plan.
The scheme which is open to all employees of Media Prima strictly on a non-obligatory basis and is expected to be completed by 15 December 2014
Media Prima stated that the exercise is part of its long term business strategy to consolidate the Group’s position as the leading integrated media group in Malaysia and make it more resilient against
intense industry competition and increasingly challenging operating environment.
Media Prima added that the MSS will enable the Group to enhance productivity and efficiency by reorganising its manpower strength in line with its business objectives. The scheme also provides opportunities and benefits for Media Prima employees who want to pursue other interests outside the Group. The Group will provide outplacement programmes for all employees who require assistance.
Relevant authorities and employee unions have been informed on this exercise.
