Kuala Lumpur, 5 January 2015. Media Prima Berhad (“Media Prima” or “the Group”), Malaysia’s leading fully integrated media investment group announced today that the Group will collaborate with University Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) to undertake flood relief efforts related to medical relief and disease prevention in the effected states.
The collaboration is part of Media Prima’s Corporate Responsibility initiative to assist communities facing hardship and help victims of natural disasters. This is critical given that water borne diseases are common aftermath of floods of this size.

Media Prima has allocated an initial funding of RM200, 000.00 from the Tabung Bencana NSTP – Media Prima for UKM to carry out programmes that focuses on health and wellbeing of flood victims. The programmes will focus on prevention of water borne diseases like cholera, typhoid, leptospirosis, diarrhea and skin disease. The funding provided would be utilised to establish static clinics that will provide medical treatment to victims and fund vaccinations for cholera, typhoid and leptospirosis amongst food handlers. Media Prima and UKM also plan to set up temporary facilities to provide clean potable water that is critical at this time.

Media Prima, through its integrated media platforms will also work with UKM to create awareness on disease prevention and importance of maintaining proper hygiene. The Group’s volunteers brigade (Briged Sukarelawan Media Prima – NSTP) will also participate in health related relief missions with UKM volunteers.
The medical relief effort by Media Prima and UKM is made possible through the generous contributions from the public to the Tabung Bencana NSTP – Media Prima. To date, proceeds from the fund have been utilised for flood relief missions, bringing food and daily necessities to flood victims in the effected states.     all is required to get set up? I’m assuming having a blog like
    yours would cost a pretty penny? I’m not very internet smart so I’m not 100% positive.
